COMUNICATO STAMPA ASSOCIAZIONE ANIMALISTA CAVESE VENGANCH’IO L’Associazione Animalista Cavese Venganch’io, in riferimento alla cattura di 4 mucche avvenuta martedì 6 marzo in Via Oreste di Benedetto a Cava de’ Tirreni, ritiene di dover affermare con forza la propria contrarietà ai metodi usati per la suddetta cattura dalle persone intervenute, documentate da numerose foto fatte da persone presenti in loco: le mucche sono state narcotizzate come se fossero animali feroci e trascinate letteralmente con delle corde legate alle loro corna e tirandole per la coda giù per un piccolo dirupo attraverso sterpaglie, provocando sicuramente loro abrasioni e ferite. Questo si va ad aggiungere allo shock che sicuramente questi animali avranno provato una volta risvegliatisi nel trovarsi con persone sconosciute in un posto sconosciuto e private della loro libertà, alla quale erano abituate! Pur convenendo che la loro presenza sulle strade cittadine o in campi agricoli privati possa causare qualche danno o rivelarsi pericolosa, riteniamo che sia profondamente ingiusto che degli animali paghino colpe non loro, essendo gli unici responsabili di questa situazione incresciosa gli irresponsabili proprietari, che non hanno cura di tenerle al sicuro in una stalla e di nutrirle a dovere, in modo che non vaghino per la città alla ricerca di cibo. Inoltre non possiamo che affermare la nostra forte contrarietà alla probabilità che queste mucche, così come successo precedentemente a un toro nella medesima situazione, siano abbattute e la loro carne incenerita, nel caso in cui entro 30 giorni non siano reclamate dal legittimo proprietario. Chiediamo quindi all’amministrazione comunale di Cava de’ Tirreni, nelle persone del Sindaco Marco Galdi e del consigliere con delega alla tutela degli animali Annalisa Della Monica, che sia fornita un’alternativa al destino di questi animali, come per esempio la possibilità di donarle a una fattoria didattica o a un agriturismo che non le uccida a scopo alimentare e ci dichiariamo disponibili a trovare insieme una soluzione a riguardo, anche attraverso contatti con altre associazioni animaliste sul territorio regionale e nazionale. Auspichiamo infine che nel Regolamento comunale per la tutela degli animali di prossima attuazione sia presente anche un paragrafo che riguardi appunto il trattamento e il destino degli animali vaganti sul territorio cavese.
