LA PRESENZA DI DEL RIO A SULMONA SIA L’OCCASIONE PER CHIEDERE LO STOP DEFINITIVO AL PERICOLOSO PROGETTO SNAM
Condividiamo le parole del Sindaco Annamaria Casini secondo cui, il convegno di oggi al Cinema Pacifico, può servire a gettare le basi per “progettare il futuro del territorio montano in termini di messa in sicurezza e di prevenzione”.
Ma, come si può progettare il futuro, se sul nostro territorio continua a pendere la spada di Damocle di un’opera pericolosa e dannosa come il metanodotto e la centrale Snam? Auspichiamo, pertanto, che tutti i nostri rappresentanti istituzionali presenti al convegno – dal Sindaco al Governatore D’Alfonso, agli Assessori Gerosolimo, Mazzocca e Di Matteo, ribadiscano l’assoluta incompatibilità del progetto Snam con aree altamente sismiche quali sono quelle dell’Appennino centrale.
Auspichiamo, inoltre, che essi chiedano pubblicamente al Ministro Graziano Del Rio un chiaro impegno affinché il Governo fermi il progetto ed attui finalmente quanto deciso dalla Commissione Ambiente della Camera dei Deputati : l’attivazione del tavolo tecnico istituzionale al fine di individuare una soluzione alternativa, al di fuori della dorsale Appenninica.
I disastrosi sismi che, dal 2009 ad oggi, hanno provocato lutti e distruzione nell’Italia Centrale, hanno coinvolto più dei due terzi dei Comuni interessati dal tracciato del metanodotto, dimostrando ampiamente quanto contraria ad ogni principio di buon senso e di precauzione, sia la scelta della Snam.
Parlare di prevenzione e di messa in sicurezza e, contemporaneamente, imporre dall’alto una infrastruttura che aumenta i rischi per il territorio, significherebbe dimostrare incoerenza e cinismo e rendere ancora più elevata la distanza tra cittadini e classe politica.
